The Client is looking to hire a skilled CNC Programmer to operate and maintain CNC equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities:-

  • Develop, prepare, optimize, and maintain CNC Mill and Lathe programs.
  • Reading and interpreting technical blueprints and design models.
  • Loading raw materials into the CNC machine.
  • Inputting the product design into the computer modeling software.
  • Choosing and loading the correct cutting tools for the job.
  • Adjusting machine settings to the desired product specifications.
  • Troubleshooting issues during the manufacturing process.
  • Completing quality control tests during the manufacturing stage and on the final product.
  • Cleaning and maintaining the machine.
  • Training new staff on machine operation procedures.
  • Develop, prepare, optimize, and maintain related Set-up and operation documents.
  • Record and maintain the established processes to ensure only authorized and documented changes are made.
  • Drive continuous improvement in programming and manufacturing.
  • Ability to run his/her own programs on the machine for first article.
  • Seek professional growth and advancement through continued education.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret product drawings, technical requirements, customer specifications, and program code for major CNC machine controllers.
  • Ability to develop manufacturing process sequences and prepare efficient CNC programs using Mastercam and/or other CAD/CAM systems.
  • Ability to develop new tooling concepts and implement them into production.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with machine operators, peers, and management.
  • Must have a demonstrated ability to take initiative, be proactive, and act with minimal oversight/direct supervision.
  • Skills required:-

  • Ability to read and interpret design blueprints.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and stick to a deadline.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects.
  • Ability to work after-hours when required.
  • Education and/or Experience:-

  • High school diploma or GED, OR at least Five Years related industry experience and/or technical training.
  • Experience in Programming 3-axis CNC Milling required; 4-axis and 5-axis experience also preferred.
  • Two Year degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Technology is highly desirable, but not required.
  • Two Years of CNC Programming experience a must.
  • Extensive experience with computer modeling software. (Mastercam and CAD/CAM)
