We present and incubate work by artists and media-makers that reflects the diversity that surrounds us. BRIC programs reach hundreds of thousands of people each year. BRIC s main venue, BRIC House, offers a public media center, a major contemporary art exhibition space, two performance spaces, a glass-walled TV studio and artist work spaces. Some of BRIC s most acclaimed programs include the BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! Festival in Prospect Park groundbreaking media initiatives, including BRIC TV, BRIC Radio, and Brooklyn Free Speech and renowned contemporary art exhibitions. BRIC also offers education and community-building programs at BRIC House and throughout Brooklyn. In addition to making cultural programming genuinely accessible, BRIC is dedicated to providing substantial support to artists and media makers in their efforts to develop work and reach new audiences. This dual commitment enables BRIC to most effectively reflect New York City s innate cultural richness and diversity. BRIC is the Public Access Television organization for Brooklyn. We have two community media initiatives BRIC TV a lineup of content produced by BRIC including local news, Brooklyn documentaries, music, art and comedy, original scripted series, and more and Brooklyn Free Speech TV, community-produced television. Brooklyn Free Speech is the home of filmmakers, television artists and organizations seeking to learn and create innovative media. We offer residents and non-profit organizations low-cost media education and free access to media production facilities and equipment. The content from BRIC TV and Brooklyn Free Speech is aired on BRIC s 6 channels of cable TV, on our YouTube channels and other digital platforms. Purpose of Position Work as part of the BRIC IT team to provide desk top computer and network support to users. Key Duties Provide help desk support to staff first line of calls and emails Oversee user administration services active directory, MS Office new accounts password resets account unlocks printer configurations mobile phone setup e-mail support (Outlook) web-based account administration. Provide setup, troubleshooting and maintenance service for printers, copiers, fax machine. Perform user desk moves and new computer setup work with Facilities and IT teams to ensure all user setups are completed without incident. Provide remote user support when needed for emergencies. Assist with telephone system setup and support. Assist with television studio and playback technology. Qualifications Bachelors degree in computer science or related field 3-4 years experience in a combination of network support, help desk, software support or related areas Technical skills Knowledge of Windows, Mac OS, Linux, Office Suite, Adobe CC Suite familiarity with backuprestore tools, basic switching, router protocols, wi-fi configuration, MS SQL, VOIP and analog phone systems proficient in RG45 ethernet cables, patch panels, termination and testing. Excellent problem-solving and multi-tasking skills strong customer service skills ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team environment Salary and Schedule Full-time position with full benefits program. Some evening and weekend work is required. Annual salary is 54,864.00. This is a full-time union position under a collective bargaining agreement with NABET.
